My client is a FTSE 250 company who are going through a Procurement and Supplier Management transformation. If you are an IT Procurement Manager that has experience delivering complex IT sourcing projects across Software, Hardware or IT Professional Services, this is a fantastic time to join the organisation.

Role

As the IT Procurement Manager, you will have responsibility for the end-to-end ownership of commercial and sourcing strategy. You will lead business critical IT Purchasing & Procurement projects for IT Professional services, Software & Hardware. You will also lead Supplier Management activities and operate as an internal business partner to key Technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading commercial and sourcing strategy for the IT & Tech Category
• Creating clear and compelling category plans that provide a fit-for-purpose supply chain, balancing cost, quality, and risk considerations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement business change
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers and senior stakeholders
• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

Experience

Essential

• An experienced Procurement professional, or comparable relevant commercial experience, who has experience of creating and executing compelling end to end category plans
• Effective and up to date understanding of the external supply markets, with knowledge and awareness of emerging trends, opportunities, and risks within your category field
• Experience of negotiating with third parties, with an understanding of contract law
• Experience of project management
• Stakeholder management experience, demonstrating the ability to influence, constructively challenge and confidently engage up to and including Senior Manager level, explaining complex ideas in a simple way
• Degree & MCIPS qualified

Desirable

• Experience within IT & Technology procurement, specifically within either Software, Hardware or IT Professional Services
• Ideally, you will demonstrate Procurement experience in a fast-paced, transformational environment
• Experience leading cross functional teams
• You will demonstrate a consultative approach to engaging, influencing and supporting Technology stakeholders through the end-to-end Procurement lifecycle
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and ability to build long lasting relationships with key stakeholders
• Commutable distance to Manchester
