1st-Executive are mandated with a global Insurance organisation, currently searching for a IT Category Buyer to manage a broad range of technology categories. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-known FS organisation who are operating in global markets.

This procurement function selects and manages third party suppliers. The aim of the function is to protect the business against commercial, operational and regulatory risk whilst delivering value for money for budget holders.

You will be managing the IT category within Procurement (IT hardware, Software, data services, PaaS, SaaS, IT consultancy

Main responsibilities are the below;

* To assist with embedding the centralised Procurement function
* To provide first stop in-house contractual advice in relation to supplier contracts
* Maintain accountability for the development and execution of the IT Category Strategy to achieve organisational objectives
* Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
* Complete supplier reviews, monitoring SLA's and reporting on contract performance
* Analyse costs and identify cost saving opportunities
* Act as the expert for procurement to the IT business areas, and always ensure that there is proper compliance with the overall regulatory policies
* Review and approve third party commercial contracts for all IT services and outsourcing agreements. Manage the contract review process across stakeholders
