One of the UKs most recognizable brands has an urgent requirement for an Interim 3PL Contract Manager with third party retail experience to join their supply chain.
This is a 12-month interim contract offering up to £350 p/d for a candidate to split their time between Dunstable and working from home.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for the contractual relationship & Operational Performance with our 3rd Party Logistics Providers
- KPI monitoring and management (daily, weekly, periodically)
- Financial performance and budget delivery via management of discretionary operational spend (i.e. delivery frequency, partner specific/geographical delivery requirements)
- Accountable for implementation of continuous improvement and E4G initiatives across the client and the 3PL provider including briefing relevant stakeholders, clear and concise communication, and effective change management
- Brief Central Operations team on key activities via Ops Planning Calendar. Work to key milestones to deliver change with minimal operational impact
- Manage seasonal 'peak' planning with 3PL ensuring effective resource plans and route/cycle amendments are in place
- Manage 3PL Customer Service performance and identify opportunities to reduce incoming call traffic
- Manage Waste Collection supplier performance and manage operational delays/ challenges whilst minimizing impact to stores
- Reduce store driven delivery failures by identifying route cause and coaching stores
- Accountable for the relevant 3PL problem escalation and resolution
- Accountable for all Supply Chain communication between the client and the relevant 3PL provider
Essential Skills:
- 1-2 years Supply Chain experience
- 3PL/Contract management
