Interim Software Tester £31.20ph

An exciting interim opportunity for a driven individual, keen to develop, to join a world-leader in Energy as a Software Tester.

This FTSE 100 organisation is at the forefront of its field in terms of sustainability, with true aims for carbon neutrality, and huge amounts of investment going into sustainable energy and the cutting edge technology to support.

This is a 12-month contract, with flexible working from home and in the office in Surrey 2 days per week, offering up to £31.20 per hour (umbrella, inside IR35).

The Role:

As Interim Software Tester, you will sit in a team responsible for mobile applications DevOps. This Team supports several mobile applications on behalf of this global business, handling all deployment, supporting any user issues, bugs, redeployment and rewriting applications from older tech into the new Flutter framework.

This will be a blended role; you will carry out exploratory, manual testing, including API testing, back-end testing and pipeline testing. In addition you will support on application publishing and/ or explore application development.

You will look at mobile and web applications, quickly understand how these are meant to work and quickly identify where these are not working. Requiring the right aptitude to dive in, you will find bugs and hold the right focus to 'break' applications.

This will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across development and testing.

Requirements:

• 12+ months' experience in Software Testing, ideally within mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge to run API scripts, application testing, writing automation tests.
• Willingness to support the Team and wider business, as well as an aptitude to grow and learn in publishing and development.
• Good skills of communication and engagement with stakeholders to a senior level.
