Interim Sanctions Manager £645pd

A fantastic interim opportunity for a Sanctions Manager to join a leader in Financial Services and provide crucial support on legislation, regulation and compliance.

6 month contract, offering up to £645 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), based working from home and 1 - 2 days per week in Birmingham (flexible)

The Role:

You will be responsible for UK Sanctions, reporting in the Head of Sanctions, and acting as a subject matter expert across legislation, regulation and compliance. You will provide key support on risk based decisions, as an SME on Risk Management and Compliance with UK EU, UN, HKMA, USA and company sanctions requirements.

You will hold a leadership and guidance role to the Compliance Team, to optimise productivity and risk management. You will produce required sanctions reports across quality assurance, Management Information and process review, as well as developing ad-hoc papers and reports for Group Regulatory reporting.

Maintaining open communication channels with compliance functions, you will ensure effective exchange of regulatory reporting information. You'll identify and ensure any remedial action from relevant findings, which may include changes to policy or training roll-out.

Requirements:

  • A Manager, with strong experience of Sanctions Risk, in a Banking setting
  • Experience of UK, US and EU markets.
  • Sanctions qualification, e.g. ICAMP.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and ability to clearly articulate implications of analysis.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
