A leading management consultancy company in based in Germany are looking for an interim and freelance purchasing managers to join their team on temporary basis 6 to 12 months - this could be extended too

Responsibilities:

• You will work closely with their procurement team on the forefront of a capability that is rapidly changing the traditional purchasing and sourcing space. Furthermore, you will play a key part in driving process improvement, delivering successful business results and developing broad based strategies for a diverse set of clients.
• Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the optimal solution and cost of ownership that meets the business goals
• Working across different industries and projects globally
• Play an important part in the clients global transformation and delivering global projects

Skills Experience Required

• Master's degree (STEM preferred); advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) is a plus Outstanding records of academic and managerial or professional achievement
• Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
• Functional experience and expertise, including, but not limited to, purchasing and sourcing, supply management, performance transformation, portfolio and product strategy, digitalization of procurement and analytics
• Have minimum of 5-10 years relevant purchasing experience, in fast-paced organizations with exposure to innovative and new approaches to procurement, experience in working with transformation and greenfield projects are preferred
• Fluent English and German
