Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Purchasing Manager - Directs to join our client's team in Stuttgart or Frankfurt. This role will focus on direct materials, category management, and project-specific procurement. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to make fast, strategic decisions, and maintain strong supplier relationships while delivering project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead purchasing activities for direct materials across key categories, including mechanical components, electrical systems, and raw materials.

• Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery for ongoing client projects.

• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance against quality, cost, and delivery targets.

• Implement category strategies and identify cost-saving or risk-mitigation opportunities.

• Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and German/EU regulations.

• Provide interim leadership to the purchasing team, ensuring smooth operations during the contract period.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in direct purchasing, preferably in industrial, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.

• Proven experience in category management and project-based procurement.

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

• Able to integrate quickly into ongoing projects and deliver immediate results.
