Interim Procurement Operations Manager Directs £475

A fantastic interim opportunity for a Procurement Operations Manager to join a world-leader in Energy and provide critical support to their Retail business, by acting as the voice for Procurement.

This company is at the forefront of its field in sustainability, with true aims for carbon neutrality and huge amounts of investment going into sustainable energy solutions and the cutting edge technology to support.

This is a 12-month contract, offering up to £475 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), primarily remote, with one day per week in Berkshire.

The Role:

This role report to the Procurement Leadership Team as Procurement Operations Manager, managing the Operations Specialist. You will support across all Direct categories in this Business Unit.

You will act as a facilitator and voice for Procurement, as well as looking at current, Procurement processes to identify any gaps and roll out projects to improve quality processes and Supplier Performance Management.

You will support the Business for new products coming to the market, driving product introduction, liaising with Category teams, and putting in place any operational activity.

You will deliver, on behalf of Procurement, the yearly quality audits from internal and external bodies, ensuring compliance.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in Category Management or Procurement and Operations.
  • Particular experience with Directs / Raw Materials Procurement.
  • Exposure to large, global companies in Energy, Oil & Gas or Consumer Goods.
  • Experience in manning and creating projects.
  • Autonomy and initiative to support team members and drive own work.
  • Some experience in leading audits from an auditee perspective.
  • Excellent skills of communication, liaison and management at a senior level.
  • Available as soon as possible.
