Interim Procurement Manager - Convenience Retail - £340 to 440 per day
My client, a global leader in Oil and Gas, are seeking an experienced Category Manager in Convenience Retail procurement, to support their newly-created, global category for goods and services. This contract is an initial 6 months, paying between £340 and £440 per day depending on experience, based in Milton Keynes.
Role:
The Category Manager is responsible for end to end category performance, strategy and implementation, ensuring optimisation and fufilment of business requirements
You will:
- Use market expertise to create transformative category strategies
- Create effective implementation plans and support implementation to agreed timelines
- Hold accountability for sourcing, negotiation and contract activity
- Effectively engage with and manage business stakeholders, securing buy-in
- Manage relaitonships with key regional and global suppliers
- Oversee contract management and performance reporting
Requirements:
- Around 10 years' related experience in Category Management, sourcing, contracting, tactical procurement and supplier management
- Procurement experience in retail or ideally goods for resale
- Strong skills of commercial negotiation and influence and supplier performance management
- Demonstrable ability to manage key stakeholders
- Experience working internationally and across multiple sites
