Role: Interim Global Procurement Lead - Real Estate/Property

Location: Netherlands or Germany

Salary: Day rate negotiable dependent on experience and location

Role:

Are you a high-calibre Interim Real Estate Procurement expert with significant experience managing varied global property portfolios internationally?

If so, this is a unique greenfield assignment to develop and implement a brand-new real estate procurement strategy from the ground up. This is an initial six-month assignment (though this is highly likely to be extended).

Joining a fast-growing and innovative global industrial products manufacturing business, you will take control of a real estate portfolio that currently consists of over 200 properties across Europe and the USA. This portfolio is a mixture of owned and leased corporate offices, industrial manufacturing facilities, customer-facing service centres, and distribution hubs.

Your remit will be to conduct a detailed review of their existing property portfolio, taking into consideration current agreements, regional market conditions and the strategic and efficient usage of their current portfolio. You will then be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to reduce cost and increase efficiencies across their portfolio, working in partnership with the senior leadership team to deliver this.

You will also be involved with several other ongoing initiatives including the strategic relocation of manufacturing facilities, expansion into new geographies and adaptations of existing properties.

Travel to meet with senior stakeholders based in Amsterdam is expected semi-regularly (2-3 times per month), along with ad-hoc travel to sites as and when required. Ideally, you will be based in either the Netherlands or Germany, however, we are open to discussing this with the right candidates who may be based in the UK or broader Western Europe.

Experience:

You will demonstrate deep category expertise within Real Estate and Property, with prior experience covering corporate and industrial property internationally.

You will be comfortable negotiating a variety of different contract forms, lease arrangements and purchase agreements within the property sphere.

Ideally, you will have previously led a similar greenfield project with end-to-end responsibility for reviewing, developing, and implementing new strategies.

You will demonstrate a consultative approach to engaging, influencing, and supporting stakeholders of varying seniority and from different cultures.
