Interim Procurement Co-ordinator - £255 p/d
My client, a leading Oil & Gas Organisation, has a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused and results-oriented Procurement Co-ordinator to join their organisation on an interim basis, during a time of significant systems transformation. This role is an 8-month, initial contract, paying up to £255 per day (DOE), based in Buckinghamshire.
The role:
The Interim Procurement Co-ordinator will act as a single Point of Contact to manage and execute procurement transactional activities, provide analytical support and co-ordinate and implement Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes.
You will:
- Manage and execute daily procurement transactional activities
- Process requisitions received from staff and create Purchase Orders (POs) in Click and Maximo
- Liaise with field and Procurement Contract Specialists
- Learn, drive and educate others with regards to P2P processes and tools
- Collaborate with staff to define their requirements and the demand profile, and with suppliers to ensure business needs are met and identify new needs
- Collaborate to identify opportunities for new leveraged agreements
- Resolve PO and invoice issues, including following up with suppliers
- Source non-strategic, small volume, low cost products where appropriate
- Collaborate to execute one-time contracts using standard template for local needs
- Coordinate efforts for on-boarding new suppliers
- Support commodity analysis and contract development
- Assist in gathering data for monthly reporting of Key Performance Indicators to drive compliance and process simplification
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years' transactional procurement experience
- Knowledge of operations, maintenance and capital projects execution (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft suite
- Experience in dealing with materials suppliers and service contractors (preferred)
- Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles and Supply Chain Management elements
- Understanding of business strategies, performance plans, goals and objectives, and linkage to procurement strategies, goals and objectives
- Understanding of supplier relationships and products
- Understanding of procurement and P2P processes, and procurement systems
- Awareness of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Familiarity with Delegations of Authority (DOA) Competencies
- The ability to complete high-volume, detailed work accurately
- You will be customer-focused, with a strong understanding of business plans and operating environments
