1st Executive have been retained by one the largest airlines in the United Kingdom who are looking to recruit an Interim Category Lead for Catering. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding procurement function during an exciting period of transformation.

The role will be responsible for leading the Catering sub-category of procurement spend across a range of products and services, working across the operating companies, maximising the Group's buying power. Develop and implement a 3-5 year category plan via local and global sourcing strategies for all external spend related activity. Manage supplier risk and monitor supplier performance, resolving any commercial and contractual disputes; in particular suppliers with high complexity/spend.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • Senior level experience of partnering with Senior Leaders and Executives in a fast moving and agile business environment in a complex global organisation.
  • Experience of working in an environment of change involving people, process, policy and technology.
  • Experience managing teams for success across multiple countries and cultures.

Location: London

Rate: up to £300 per day

Duration: 6 - 12 months
