Interim PMO £470pd

An exciting opportunity for an Interim Consumer PMO, to join a world-leader in FMCG, and provide crucial support at a global, portfolio level.

This is an initial contract to the end of January 2023, offering up to £470 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35), primarily working from home, with a couple of days in their office per week in London.

The Role:

As Interim Consumer PMO, you will be part of a Team responsible for my FTSE 100 client's consumer product line, from a digital and technology point of view.

A large focus of the role will be Financial Management, working to understand any variances from estimations made for projects, the reason for any variances and resolution of these. You will need to hold a good understanding of how Purchase Orders raised and how vendors are set up in the system. You will also hold a strong knowledge of relevant PPM tools.

For any Project Milestones, you will determine how these will be tracked. Where a Milestone is due, you will ensure the team is reminded where appropriate, determine whether the milestone will be met, and the business and financial impact of missing the Milestone.

You will liaise closely with key members of the project teams to ensure they are raising their time in the PPM tool, and to prevent project financials being affected. You will also run and chair key governance meetings, produce high-level dashboards, and carry out key stakeholder management.


  • Strong, prior experience managing projects and portfolio finances, with an understanding across CAPEX, OPEX, Vendor creation, Purchase Orders and Project Milestones.
  • Good knowledge of relevant PPM tools, e.g. Clarity, Clarizon or PlanU.
  • Confident producing slide decks and dashboards, and presenting these at Leadership and Chair meetings.
  • Excellent skills of communication and the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders up to board level.
  • Prior experience within a large-scale, matrix organisation.
  • Advantageous would be any experience with Ariba or Coupa.
