Interim Packaging Engineer £35ph

An exciting Interim opportunity, for an experienced Engineer with FMCG, CPG or Pharmaceuticals experience to join a FTSE 100, market-leader in drinks distribution.

A 6-month contract, offering up to £35 per hour (umbrella, Inside IR35), based in Cheshire.

The Role:

• Ensure a safe and organised workplace environment, and consistently adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental and Food standards and legislation.
• Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules are carried out to required standards.
• Provide electrical and mechanical resource to the Operations Team.
• Coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Support capital work, including installation, commissioning and testing.
• Carry out reporting and recording via SAP.
• Ensure a safe and organised workplace environment, and consistently adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental and Food standards and legislation.
• Contribute to SIC process and complete control document.
• Collaborate with Operators and Team Leaders to contribute to problem solving and solutions via RCPS.

Requirements:

• A recognised apprenticeship or mechanical / electrical Higher National Certificate Level qualification, within FMCG / CPG.
• Strong understanding of Asset performance and maintenance philosophy.
• Excellent Process Improvement and problem solving.
• Able to work autonomously, with good communication skills across levels and functions.
• Drives Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement.
