One of the UKs largest hospitality providers has an urgent requirement for an Interim Operations Project Manager.
This is a 6-month interim contract offering up to £500 p/d inside IR35 and hybrid working - two days per week required at Dunstable offices.
Operations Project Manager Role:
Purpose: To lead the definition, design and delivery of multiple Ops led cross-functional projects of change which are key to strategic objectives and future operating model
Outcome: To ensure all change projects are delivered on time, to the required quality standard and to budget. This includes all aspects of project management; project planning, resource management, financial management, risk management, communication, supplier management, governance & compliance, change management and control through to solution delivery
What you'll be doing:
- Lead multiple projects with the objective of realising key business strategy and operating model capabilities
- Lead the full end to end delivery of projects from initiation and planning through design, delivery, and handover to Business as Usual
- Deliver change into the organisation through the application of 'best in class' project management
- Creation and presentation of business cases (costs and benefits)
- Take responsibility for all dimensions of the project: delivery, governance, reporting, risks & issues, dependencies, financial/budget management, resourcing, communication and coordination of effective change and implementation
- Ability to embed project controls to pro-actively monitor overall progress, implement structured risk management behaviours, and be able to manage all corrective action as appropriate
- Develop and implement the project governance structure ensuring effective quality assurance and project integrity
- Role model project management, technical and behavioural capability
- Ensuring that the delivery of projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget and meets the business needs
- Work with the respective functions and subject matter experts to develop and lead business change through leading trials, implementation planning, change impact, comms planning and delivery
- Ensure clear embed & sustain activity and benefits tracking plans in place
What you'll need:
- Experience of managing multiple business projects with multiple stakeholders delivering solutions into operational use
- Experience of matrix management within projects and in programme reporting
- Management of project budgets up to £500k
- Able to operate to Operations Director level
- Strong understanding and experience of project management methodologies (Prince2 and/or Agile)
