Interim Lead Power Electronics Engineer - £240-£260 per day

An Interim Lead Power Electronics Engineer at £240-£260 per day is required for a world leader in energy in Warwickshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation at the forefront of their field for worldwide innovation.

The role:

You will -

  • Lead on design, validation and industrialisation
  • Undertake circuit simulation for design and testing
  • Compile DFMEA and design document and know how to apply PFMEA
  • Review and approve the drawings and design documentation when required
  • Implement and perform validation tests and design-proving tests
  • Work closely with supply chain for power electronics components
  • Technically lead a group of engineers for a development project if required
  • Adhere to strict Health & Safety rules and maintain awareness of Health & Safety regulations

Experience required:

  • In-depth Power Electronics and high-voltage knowledge
  • Proven ability in product design, validation and industrialisation
  • Experience with Thermal Design
  • Simulation tools such as Matlab-Simulink, PSCAD-EMTDC
  • Specification & report writing and reviewing
  • Design and type testing programmes
  • Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines and good at sharing knowledge
  • EHS compliance ability

Desireable

  • Knowledge/understanding of high-power and high-voltage design and control issues
  • Understanding of multi-modular converters
  • High Voltage engineering
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience of supplier chain integration
  • Ability to coordinate and lead a small group of engineers
