Interim JV Auditor £640pd

An exciting short-term Interim opportunity for a Joint Venture Auditor to join a FTSE Leader in Energy, and lead the audit of their non-operated assets.

This role is in support of a virtual audit happening in September 2022, totalling 15 days work including planning, field work and report writing.

The position offers up to £640 per day (umbrella. inside IR35), based primarily remotely, with potential ad-hoc fieldwork on their Aberdeen site.

The Role:

As Interim Joint Venture (JV) Auditor, you will lead on my client's virtual audit for non-operated assets.

You will work to understand complex commercial agreements, particularly of how costs are shared between multiple owner groups, as well as standard audit activity of ensuring costs charged to the JVs are in accordance with Joint Operating Agreements and supplier contracts.

You will collaborate with the team on the audit of any revenue income, with certain agreements involving a more complex profit share.

With responsibility for co-ordinating the planning of the audit with the Operator, you will select samples to test, undertake the fieldwork and prepare the report in accordance with legislation.

The audit is taking place in September, but there may be some preparation and calls required before this.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Joint Venture Auditing / Contractual Audits.
• A strong understanding of the associated process, agreements and required calculations.
• Experience with large, matrix organisations.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Advantageous would be any experience with SAP systems.
