Role: Interim Finance Business Partner Rate: £400-£500 p/d inside IR35 Location Royston - 2/3 days per week Contract Length: 6 months

Lead the UK Refining Finance Business Partnering team to achieve a fully integrated business partner relationship across all areas of the UK Refining business, supporting the business to drive improved business performance and profitability.

Principal accountabilities

• Work with the UK Refining business to ensure accurate financial forecasts are used for reporting purposes. Provide financial insight for the business and senior management to ensure variances are clearly understood to enable decision making
• Provide the inputs and support for the IBP process for Refining UK whilst providing robust challenge to assumptions and workings to create a well understood financial forecast
• Responsible for the narrative around monthly financial performance, outlining key business drivers and variances to forecast, budget and last year.
• Lead the budgeting process for the UK Refining business. Ensure there is a detailed budget which allows the business to deliver on its strategic goals and is clearly understood by senior management
• Ensure that a costing process for UK Refining is established and maintained. It is important that complex operational processes are clearly understood and built into these models with the outputs helping to shape regular discussion and review with commercial
• Provide technical expertise, insight and challenge in order to complete the required business cases for capital investment within the relevant businesses
• Develop the UK Refining Business Partner role(s) to ensure that they are able to provide support, challenge and insight to managers within the business
• Support the Refining UK business with all factors which impact working capital. Particularly focused on precious metal working capital and anything which may impact these numbers and the financial performance of the business
• To take on any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Key Requirements:

• Experience of providing insight and challenge to the business from a strategic and operational viewpoint
• Professional Accounting Qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience of working with large amounts of complex data to provide a concise analysis for senior management
• Several years post qualification experience
• High level of numeracy, working with systems and data
• Knowledge of ERP (SAP) or similar systems
• Experience of business partnering across all levels of the business
