Interim Demurrage Negotiator £305pd

A fantastic Interim opportunity for a Demurrage Negotiator, with Chartering or Owner-side experience, to support a world-leader in Energy with their cradle-to-grave portfolio of Demurrage claims and expenses.

This is a 12-month contract, offering £305 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), based working from home and 2 days in their offices in central London.

The Role:

As Demurrage Negotiator, you will manage a portfolio of Demurrage claims and post-fixture expenses for this FTSE 100 Energy leader. This will be end-to-end, including freight and handling Demurrage and Expense Claims, from contracts with owners and trading companies.

You will review and analyse claims data within their CMS system, as well as shipping data and terms; time sheets, NORs, Letters of Process, general T&Cs, and contracts. You will analyse these to formulate counters or agreements.

This role will involve client and stakeholder meetings to a senior level.

Requirements:

• 1 year+ Demurrage experience.
• Ideally working with Owners or Chartering experience.
• Relevant commodities experience - ideally Oil & Gas industry exposure.
• Good contractual understanding.
• Excellent skills of communication, confident working with key stakeholders and contacts to a senior level.
• Ability to prioritise and organise well.
• Strong commercial and numerical ability.
