Interim Contracts Specialist £308pd

An exciting interim opportunity for a Contracts Specialist to join a world-leader in Energy and provide crucial support to their Contract template transformation.

This is a 12-month contract, offering £308 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), with hybrid working from home and in the office in South-East England.

The Role:

As Contracts Specialist, you will be a key part of the Contracting Team, who create, own and manage all Procurement Contract templates. This FTSE 100 organisation has recently lived a Contract Template Transformation project, driving the simplification and consolidation of the contracting approach across Procurement, by developing new templates and negotiation guidance.

You will be involved in the digital transformation and improvement of the way contracts are drafted and managed, through the development and deployment of a Contract Lifecycle Management Tool.

You Will:

  • Draft and support development of a suite of simpler and flexible contract templates, for the procurement of a range of goods and services.
  • Draft guidance for the selection and use of these new templates.
  • Engage effectively with key, senior stakeholders to gain feedback, input and requirements.
  • Support the selection and deployment of Contract Lifecycle Management Tool.


  • Expert knowledge of Contract negotiation, execution and management.
  • Excellent Contract drafting ability.
  • Strong experience of contracting and the ability to translate business requirements into robust contracts.
  • Good understanding of Oil & Gas or Energy requirements and their relation to contracting.
  • Strong Microsoft Word ability.
  • Experience in the development, improvement and deployment of policies, procedures and guides.
  • Extensive experience influencing and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, across functions and geographies.
  • Previous experience within a global, matrix organisation.
