Interim Construction Project Engineer £347pd

An exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a world-leader in FMCG, to support CAPEX project execution and manage construction activities.

This is a 12-month contract, offering up to £347 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), based in Fife.

The Role:

As Construction Project Engineer, you will sit in the Global Supply and Project Engineering Team, providing Capital Project support to Manufacturing. You will deliver Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects.

• Contractor Management, to co-ordinate project execution, with a focus on Health & Safety Management.
• Collaborate with Supply Operations Teams and CAPEX Project Engineers to safely deliver CAPEX projects.
• Support with safe working practices, adherence to RAMS, planned site induction and ensuring contractors have access to the site in advance.
• Co-ordinate and manage external resources.
• Manage construction activities and oversee commissioning.
• Review progress and anticipate / mitigate any risk.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.
• Strong experience in Construction, Project or Civil Management.
• Health and Safety Management experience.
• Experience in permitting of site works, control and co-ordination or works and people.
• A Construction or H&S Engineering Management Background.
• Ideally, Emergency First Aid, SMSTS or similar, and CSCS Card.
