Interim Construction Procurement Manager - £650pd

Role: Interim Construction Procurement Manager

Rate: £650 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Client: Major Public Sector organisation

Location: Hybrid working - Oxfordshire

Duration: To end of June 2027

An interim opportunity to join an esteemed public sector organisation, to shape Construction procurement strategy across the end-to-end supply chain.

This role will develop and implement Procurement Strategy, ensure alignment with and promote adoption of the government's Construction Playbook, and lead market engagement activity.

You will carry out cost modelling, benchmarking, ensure the use of standardised contracts and compliance with PCR 2015 / Procurement Act 2023.

You will oversee the entire Procurement lifecycle, across strategy development, tendering, contract award and implementation. This role will require engagement and influencing of complex stakeholder relationships, driving alignment and buy-in.

Requirements:

  • Experienced Construction Procurement Manager, with NEC and JCT contract expertise.
  • Track record leading end-to-end Procurement processes and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge in applying the UK Government's Construction Playbook, across construction public sector Procurement projects (eg Public Contracts Regulations 2015).
  • Excellent ability to draft robust Procurement strategy, including supplier engagement and risk management.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement ability, to a senior level.
