Interim Construction Manager £347pd

A fantastic opportunity to be a key part of my FTSE 100 FMCG client's CAPEX Team for delivery across manufacturing sites, as an Interim Construction manager.

This role is an initial 12-month contract, with strong scope to extend, offering up to £347 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35), based on-site in Fife.

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting project engineers on the daily co-ordination and management of contractors and Health & Safety. Projects you will be overseeing include refurbishment of office blocks, new warehouse roofing, demolition, and lighting.

This role will involve writing permits for working at heights, hot works, general works and running cables.

You will oversee Health & Safety on site, ensuring CAPEX projects are delivered safely, anticipating and mitigating any risk. You'll be involved in writing permits, managing contractors, co-ordinating works, and ensuring contractors adhere to regulations.

You will be required to knowledgeably challenge people working unsafely and carry out positive intervention where needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent practical construction background, with experience managing constructions on builds, for example across office blocks and scaffolding.
• NEBOSH certified or Construction Certificate.
• Strong familiarity with writing permits.
• Strong Health and Safety Management.
