Role: Communications Manager - Media

Rate: £350 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Client: Esteemed public sector organisation

Location: London, with some hybrid working

Duration: 4 months

An opportunity to join an esteemed Public Sector organisation who are going through significant transition, as and external Communications Manager. This is a key role, focused on Media and Communication, requiring proactivity and reactivity in a busy, 24/7, news desk environment.

You will handle media enquiries and develop positive narratives, messaging, statements and communications plans for the organisation. You will carry out innovative engagement with media, communities and stakeholders. You will also undertake media monitoring, collaborating to provide a rapid response service across digital channels.

Requirements:

• Good written and verbal communication skills across a range of channels.
• Track record of delivery in a busy, media operation, prioritising demands.
• Strong understanding of media and channel monitoring, across digital tools.
• Driving proactive media planning and creative media campaigns.
• Practical understanding of data and insight.
