Interim Commissioning Officer

Interim Commissioning Officer required for initial 3 month contract with a local authority.

The role will provide strategic and operational support within Adult Social Care by leading on commissioning and procurement projects and activity within the Adults area and wider Strategic Commissioning & Procurement function by undertaking duties commensurate with the level of the post as required.

The role would also work closely with the senior procurement officer in taking the requirement to market so a good understanding of tendering is important.

Experience of commissioning direct payments services would be beneficial.

This position is considered to fall inside IR35.
