Interim Category Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics

Interim Category Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics required to provide strategic category management direction and leadership for all goods and services within the Supply Chain & Logistics category for a leading FMCG brand.

You will;

  • Create sustainable value in upstream and downstream activities across all sub categories
  • Develop category strategies, sourcing, creation of excellent contracts
  • Understand overall acquisition costs and develop appropriate cost models
  • Drive supplier competition, development and rationalisation as appropriate
  • Develop supplier and supply market expertise to inform category strategies
  • Work with internal customers to ensure category projects are delivered on time and within budget

Experience required;

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in freight, transport and/or supply chain categories
  • FMCG & Retail background
  • Strong negotiation skills gained with the ability to develop and articulate cross functional procurement strategies and processes
  • Experience implementing sourcing methodologies for category management
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills
