Interim Category Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics
Interim Category Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics required to provide strategic category management direction and leadership for all goods and services within the Supply Chain & Logistics category for a leading FMCG brand.
You will;
- Create sustainable value in upstream and downstream activities across all sub categories
- Develop category strategies, sourcing, creation of excellent contracts
- Understand overall acquisition costs and develop appropriate cost models
- Drive supplier competition, development and rationalisation as appropriate
- Develop supplier and supply market expertise to inform category strategies
- Work with internal customers to ensure category projects are delivered on time and within budget
Experience required;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in freight, transport and/or supply chain categories
- FMCG & Retail background
- Strong negotiation skills gained with the ability to develop and articulate cross functional procurement strategies and processes
- Experience implementing sourcing methodologies for category management
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills
