Interim Senior Category Manager - Professional Services £700pd (inside) SC CLEARED

I'm currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a driven, Interim Senior Category Manager to join my esteemed client in the Defence sector, and lead the Professional Services Category and strategy, with huge spends across Consultancy, Legal and Insurance.

This role is a 5-6 month contract, paying up to £700 per day (inside), based in London.

To qualify for this role, you must hold current, valid SC Clearance.

You will:

• Develop and implement the professional services category strategy
• Ensure spend data is consolidated and segmented by category and relevant groupings
• Provide commercial advice and guidance to category customers
• Develop category commercial expertise, ensuring the development of knowledge of market trends, innovation, developing commercial models and enhancements in service or product specifications
• Provide day-to-day leadership for your category
• Contribute to the development of effective tools and continuous improvement techniques
• Drive innovation and work with the team to consistently review current processes, governance, and ways of working

Requirements:

• Demonstrable, strong experience in professional services categories, delivering complex projects, with large spends and a proven track record in professional services procurement
• Previous expertise/ focus on consultancies
• Experience of working in a Defence/government environment
• Commercially minded
• Demonstrate excellence in the ability to deliver the category strategy including value and cost savings
• Proven strong stakeholder management at all levels
• Significant experience in Category Management, Contract Management & Commercial Excellence
• Reading and understanding of contractual language
• Experience of leading and upskilling teams
• SC Cleared
