An Interim Networks & Telecomms Category Manager at £425-475p/d is required for a global FTSE100 Oil & Gas Supermajor based in Greater London. A 6 month contract, likely to extend, this is an exciting opportunity within leading sourcing events and negotiations across the category, implementing an infrastructure project and vendor management for data networks, for a candidate with a strong background in Networks & Telecomms sourcing, who is looking to develop their experience within a global, diverse and fast-paced function.

Role:

  • Execute the sourcing strategy across the Networks & Telecomms category
  • Source Networks & Telecomms globally from providers
  • Vendor management for data neworks and trader voice systems
  • Implementing a critical infrastructure project

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience of sourcing Network Services
  • Experience in global or multi country service environments with a proven track record of influencing large teams of a diverse nature
  • Experience working in IT Outsourcing / IT Operations / IT Procurement
  • Vendor management skills
  • Demonstrable experience in Fixed Pricing, Firm Pricing, T&M, and Staff Augmentation constructs
  • Ability to interpret contract language and develop a position
  • Specific and in depth understanding of the category supply market and value drivers
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience in negotiating multi-million commercial IT contracts
  • Ability to engage mid to senior business and IT personnel in an influential manner, to win over stakeholder consensus
