An Interim Category Manager - Indirects at £325-375p/d is required for a London based local authority. A 3 month initial contract in London, likely to extend, and providing long term stability, this is an exciting opportunity within Indirects Category Management, overseeing strategic development and end-to-end sourcing across a wide range of categories a candidate who is looking to develop their experience within a large public sector body with significant portfolio spend.

Role:

• To provide category management support across the function and across multiple Indirects sub-categories to ensure that maximum value is derived from all contracts and sourcing projects.
• To ensure that the function is strategically developed in line with the direction of the authority
• To manage a portfolio of strategic and priority contracts and sourcing projects within the Indirects team
• To drive benefits and reduce sourcing costs cross-category

Required Skills:

• Public Sector Category Management experience
• Indirects Sourcing experience
• Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of public sector
