Interim Category Manager - Environment

Interim Category Manager - Environment required to work with a public sector body in the Bedfordshire area to lead key projects within waste contracts and transport.

Role Description;

  • Lead on all procurement related issues across Waste, Transport and Environment.
  • Achieve value for money and improvements in efficiency
  • Work with senior stakeholders on the development of specifications and all contract management related issues
  • Lead on OJEU tendering activities
  • Ensure Category plans are aligned with the corporate goals

Key Competencies

  • Recent Public sector experience ideally with a local authority
  • Category experience across a range of categories
  • Experience leading strategic end to end tenders
  • OJEU experience
  • Experience delivering cost savings
