Interim Category Analyst - £300 to £350 per day

My client, a global leader in the oil and gas industry based in Greater London, are seeking a knowledgeable Category Analyst to support the Product Team on an interim basis with analytical and reporting needs.

Role:

This role is wide-ranging; the Category Analyst will provide support to a portfolio of projects through:

• Analysis of the market as well as demand and supply data to support the development of category strategies
• Drafting category plans and leading implementation
• Supplier management and analysis across a large number of suppliers, including holding performance reviews, progress meetings and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Supporting the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
• Providing market intelligence and benchmarking data to support major projects
• Developing and sustaining strong stakeholder relationships

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable sourcing, supplier management and category management experience
• Strong project management skills
• Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder, international environments
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of systems such as Ariba OneSource, Backbone, SAP and Office 365 applications or ability to learn how to use these systems quickly
• Degree in business, engineering, procurement or related technical discipline
