Interim Buyer required to join a Global Innovative Technology Organisation on 6-month interim contract paying £380 per day based in Wiltshire. Working with new technologies you will play a significant role in delivering future vehicles.

Accountabilities:

• Own & manage a complex range of commodities
• Develop and deliver category strategies for a diverse range of commodities
• Fulfil departmental objectives, to include (but not limited to) cost targets, meeting FTA targets, ensuring supplier performance and delivery
• Managing Commercial terms and conditions as well as Legal compliance - particularly with regards to IP
• Support supplier visits including launch reviews
• Identify and source supply partners, in line with the departmental sourcing process and targets
• Provide cost analysis and ensure all risks and opportunities are captured and managed
• Manage the sourcing process from market research through to supplier nomination, contract award and contract management
• Support a continuous improvement program to advance procurement processes, governance and capabilities across the group

Key Competencies:

• Previous experience in a direct procurement function within a manufacturing environment. Automotive would be an advantage but not essential
• Previous project management / programme management would be a bonus
• Comfortable working with various MS Office applications. Previous experience of SAP would be an advantage
• Previous experience working with different cultures would be an advantage
• A full Driving licence and a willingness to travel is required

Rate: £380 p/d
