Interim Assistant Head of Highway Maintenance £28 P/H (Inside IR 35)

A major public sector body based in Sheffield has an urgent requirement for an Interim Assistant Head of Highway Maintenance to join the Highway Maintenance Division with responsibility for highway maintenance in the in the City primarily through the strategic and operational management of a major highway maintenance contract and other highway works associated with highway improvements and new developments.

This is an initial 6-month interim contract sitting inside of IR 35 offering up to £28.00 p/h to be based in Sheffield.

The post holder will work closely with the Assistant Head of Highway Maintenance who manages the Technical Team of 12 staff covering the contract management role for the highway maintenance contract. The main areas of operation are carriageways, footways, structures, signals, street lighting and environmental maintenance. Includes meetings with the provider to deal with performance monitoring, financial management, contractual issues, providing technical advice to and responding to customer enquiries.
