Indirect Procurement Leader (Business Partnering)

Location:

Salary: Circa £50,000

Client: FTSE Defence organisation

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Category Support: Act as the Indirect Procurement Services focal point, providing day-to-day support on category queries and liaising with preferred suppliers.
  • Supplier Management: Proactively manage category suppliers, developing strong performance cultures through effective working relationships.
  • Value Delivery: Identify opportunities to deliver value through supplier contract management, competitive tenders, and procurement savings.
  • Data Analytics: Use data analytics to assess supplier data, improving supplier performance and value for money.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks within the category.
  • Project Support: Assist with change or transformation project activities as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment in category service delivery, share lessons learned, and generate new ideas.
  • Governance and Assurance: Ensure adherence to and promotion of governance and assurance activities related to the category.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

  • Procurement experience with knowledge of Category Management.
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management.
  • Proven knowledge in contract negotiation and supplier management.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Contract Management.
  • Experience in initiating and delivering end-to-end procurement projects.

The Indirect Procurement Business Partnering Team:

As a primary link between internal stakeholders and Indirect Procurement Services, you'll drive procurement efforts across all business units. Your role will involve agile collaboration, ensuring effective service delivery, and building strong relationships with internal teams. Travel may be necessary to support stakeholders, and you'll also contribute to broader business initiatives, gaining insights into our operations.
