Head of Parallel Imports Trade - Pharmaceutical

Our client a Major Global NYSE listed Pharmaceutical Organisation are seeking a highly experience and effective Head of Commercial Trade Procurement who will focus on the development and integration of the procurement strategy for group cross border trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful development and implementation of the commercial procurement trade strategy across the business, which will include branded and specialty categories, but also looking at the development of new category opportunities
  • You will be a highly effective negotiator taking responsibility for working across functions and borders to identify opportunities to grow the commercial trade revenue and profitability
  • Liaise and manage relationships with C-Suite stakeholders supporting the countries in developing ideas and leveraging enterprise strength, scale and capabilities to deliver the commercial trade objectives and financial goals
  • Set up and manage the strategy for Cross Border and Trade Agreements on a Global basis
  • Leverage Senior partnerships, identifying new sources of supply and potentially new customers
  • Define and deliver financial targets for the business and own the central commercial trade budget and reporting
  • Lead and develop new business models and concepts to drive additional revenue to the business
  • Develop proposals on how process or structural adjustments can be made to improve performance both at a local and central level working in close collaboration with the EU businesses
  • Manage a team and provides support and guidance in order to deliver goals and objectives

Person Specification:

  • Strong strategic thinking and implementation skills
  • Experience of IMPLEMENTING TRADE STRATEGIES, (including cross border and international trade agreements)
  • Excellent communicator and strong personal interaction skills including the ability to motivate people on all levels
  • Preferred experience within Pharmaceutical or FMCG regulated industries.
  • Very good negotiator on an international level
  • C-Suite stakeholder engagement experience as well as working in a multinational and multi-cultural environment, along with excellent decision making, strong impact and influencing skills
  • Strong background in Procurement having experience of developing and implementing strategies, along with transformation experience
  • Strong target and output orientation
  • Dynamic and entrepreneurial
  • Ability to travel internationally
