Head of Logistics
Location: Liverpool
Our client is a Major Global FTSE organisation who are seeking a Head of Logistics to join their growing organisation. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, this individual heads up a team responsible for the management of Export and Compliance on a Global basis along with managing the thrd party service providers to ensure on-time delivery to the distribution centres.
Key duties include:
To manage the completion of all SAP transactions associated with the shipping of product and intermediates to all markets.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure full visibility and compliance
To continuously improve the shipping processes, in terms of cost effectiveness, consistency, compliance, performance and quality.
Provide input into key distribution and logistics projects across the network. Specifically ensuring warehousing and distribution channels are defined, in place and effective
The role is accountable for distribution and logistics of key products in the network
Ensure globally alignment with logistics processes throughout the business
You will be required to solve specific distribution problems and additionally solve and
You will be required to continually improve supply chain logistics and distribution, taking advantage of new technologies, processes and systems.
Person Specification:
Experience of leading a team within distribution logistics
Industry experience within a regulated industry preferred
Abitlity to engage with Senior Leadership on issue resolution and present on strategic projects.
Ideally a member of the Institute of Export
Ideally experience of taking a company to Authorised Economic Operator status
Experience of managing the process within competence in customs compliance, e.g customs compliance qualifications.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of cold chain shipping using active and passive systems.
Appropriate qualifications with supply chain management are desirable.
