Head of CAPEX Procurement - £900-950pd

Rate: Up to £950 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Client: Major Energy organisation

Duration: 12 months

Location: Hybrid and Central Belt, Scotland, 2-3 days per week

A Head of Procurement & Commercial Manager for a major Energy organisation, reporting to the Director, to lead large Capital Infrastructure Projects, with £1bn spends.

This senior, hands-on leadership role will own the commercial delivery of Substations and Cabling projects, implementing robust commercial and contracting strategy, and driving Procurement activity.

This will be an end-to-end role, where you will undertake key supplier relationship management activity, work closely with stakeholders to ensure excellent outcomes, and carry out accurate forecasting and reporting.

Requirements:

Must have: Commercial Delivery and leadership of mega (£1bn plus) Infrastructure projects for UK Transmission/ Power, in Overhead Line, Substations, or Underground Cabling.

• 20-30 years' Procurement, Commercial, or Quantity Surveyor experience.
• 10-15 years' experience at a senior leadership level.
• Confidence and evidence of working on large Capital infrastructure projects
• FRICS/MRICS / Quantity Surveying Degree educated or equivalent direct entry to a recognised appropriate professional body
