Our client is a trailblazer in the automotive industry, dedicated to excellence, sustainability, and cutting-edge solutions. As part of a strategic initiative, they are building a global category management function to optimize their procurement processes across various indirect categories.
As a Global Category Manager for Indirect Categories, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives for non-production-related goods and services. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and drive cost savings. These roles present an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a global transformation within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute global category strategies for indirect spend categories
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and market dynamics
- Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and innovation in indirect procurement
- Lead supplier negotiations and establish strong, long-term partnerships
- Contribute to the development of a world-class global category management function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Proven experience in category management, particularly in indirect categories
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and best practices
- Demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives and process improvements
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
