A leading automotive company based in Munich, Germany who develops innovative products are looking for a Global Category Manager MRO who will play an important role in their procurement department. The company is going through a transformation and it's exciting times to be part of it.

The successfully candidate will be responsible for the indirect commodities and play a vital role in greenflied projects.

Responsibilities:

• Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts to optimise company's competitive position
• Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the optimal solution and cost of ownership that meets the business' goals
• Responsible for indirect commodities, MRO, Maintinance, Capex
• Reporting directly to Head of Purchasing Indirects
• 20% travel

Skills Experience Required

• Relevant degree, MBA is preferred
• Have minimum of 5-10 years relevant purchasing experience, in fast-paced global organizations
• Successful track record in purchasing and negotiations with suppliers globally
• Experience with purchasing indirects, professional services, IT, MRO, and setting up new teams and greenfield projects
• Fluent English and B1 German
