Position: Global Category Manager (Multiple Openings)
Location: Germany - ideally Munich or Frankfurt

Our client is a leader in the automotive industry, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. As part of a strategic initiative, they are building a global category management function to optimize their supply chain and procurement processes.
As a Global Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing category strategies for key direct categories such as metals, plastics, electronics, and more. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving impactful change. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a global transformation within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global category strategies aligned with overall business objectives
- Drive cost optimization, innovation, and sustainability within the supply chain
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and market trends
- Lead supplier negotiations and establish long-term partnerships
- Contribute to the development of a best-in-class global category management function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Proven experience in category management within the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of direct categories such as metals, plastics, electronics, etc.
- Demonstrated success in driving change and implementing strategic initiatives
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
