A leading company based in Vienna who develops innovative products are looking for a Global Category Lead Capex & MRO who will play an important role in their procurement department. The company is going through a transformation and it's exciting times to be part of it.

The successful candidate will be responsible for €250 million spend across Capex, MRO, machinery, equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts to optimize company's competitive position
• Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the optimal solution and cost of ownership that meets the business' goals
• Responsible for €250 million spend for Capex & Indirect
• Strategically collaborate with the cross-functional teams to influence and create unique purchasing methods
• Work directly with R&D to create unique and innovative products
• Play an important part in the global transformation and delivering global projects
• Reporting directly to Head of Purchasing Indirects
• 20% travel

Skills Experience Required

• Relevant degree, mechanical engineering or MBA is preferred
• Have minimum of 3-5 years relevant purchasing experience, in fast-paced organizations with exposure to innovative and new approaches to procurement
• Successful track record in purchasing and negotiations with suppliers globally
• Experience with purchasing indirect materials such as: MRO, Capex, Spare Parts, Indirects
