Our global client, a leading force in automotive innovation, is embarking on a transformation journey and is in search of a Global Category Lead to join their team for Logistics and managing a team of 3 procurement specialists. This presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a world-class global category management function.

As a Global Category Lead for Logistics Services , you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives for Logistics Services. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and drive cost savings. These roles present an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a global transformation within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute global category strategies for Logistics Services spend categories
  • Managing a team of 3 procurement professionals
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and market dynamics
  • Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and innovation in indirect procurement
  • Lead supplier negotiations and establish strong, long-term partnerships
  • Contribute to the development of a world-class global category management function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or similar
  • Proven experience in category management, particularly in logistics services
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and best practices
  • Demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives and process improvements
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
