Reporting to the Head of Finance the Finance Manager (Management Accounting and Reporting) will play a key role in leading a team preparing all financial information to be distributed internally to Trust departments.
Monthly management packs
Annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Expenditure analysis and ad hoc reporting.
The role is responsible for producing the monthly income and expenditure analysis and ensuring post appropriate journals so that the Trust trading performance is recorded accurately.
The role is jointly responsible for the month end close process in conjunction with the Central Finance Manager. The role will support the accounting of the joint venture partnerships.
- Responsible for delivering management information in accordance with the Trust reporting timetable in conjunction with other Finance Managers
- Have oversight of a strong control environment to ensure all adjustments to accounts, budgets and forecast are in line with accounting principles and Trust policy.
- Produce monthly management accounts for all care settings and departments in a timely and accurate manner ensuring they are robust and accurately reflect current trading Tasks include but not limited to:
- Undertaking a full review of income each month to ensure accurate posting and correct deferral of income as well as producing price volume variance analysis
- Ensuring payroll hours and agency costs are accurately accrued and are in line with best practice accounting adopted by the
- Ensuring each home's, I&E reflect accurate costs and
- Liaising with department heads, the Central Finance team, and Finance Business Partners to jointly deliver an excellent service to the business.
