Estates Procurement Manager - Progression offered - up to £39,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a world leading university with a good reputation both nationally and internationally. The main campuses have been transformed with major capital investment and they are currently one of the largest universities in the East of England. This is a vibrant workplace with ambitious plans for the future and a progressive opportunity for the right person.
You will work closely with all faculties, professional services and in particular Estate services across campuses.
Work within a small team and achieve customer buy in to the procurement strategy.
Advise and provide guidance on complex procurement matters and develop mechanisms to monitor and improve the performance of suppliers focusing on Estates contracts.
Ensuring terms & conditions are completed and signed.
Analyse procurement needs and provide professional advice and expertise in order to make recommendations.
Employ a proactive approach to continuous improvement by making recommendations within professional guidelines.
Arrange and attend meetings with internal and external customers and provide cover in absence of the deputy head of procurement.
The right person
You will ideally have a relevant degree and professional qualification (MCIPS) and good experience within the Public sector. You must have managed complex Estates procurement processes and be able to make recommendations. To be successful in this role you must be a good negotiator, able to influence and network.
