Position: Environmental Analyst

Location: Oxfordshire

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (c1-2 days office, 3-4 days remote)

Travel: Opportunity to travel to sites across Europe

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits

You'll assist this expanding company in implementing its sustainability strategy, working within the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Team. The role spans multiple sites across the UK and Europe, with future expansion to the US. Further, you will have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring visibility across sustainability in construction, FM and Retail.

Your main responsibilities will include collecting, reporting, and analysing key environmental sustainability data needed for verification and reporting purposes, both internally and externally. You will analyse environmental performance to support the continuous evaluation and refinement of the company's sustainability strategy. Additionally, you will contribute to projects related to Net Zero, BREEAM, GRESB, CRREM and CSRD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect environmental data (energy, water, waste) across various European sites, ensuring compliance with internal processes
  • Upload data to various IT systems and regularly present findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure robust verification checks and data monitoring processes for accurate reporting
  • Coordinate environmental data verification with European sites, third-party consultants, and other relevant parties
  • Collaborate with the IT Team to enhance sustainability reporting capabilities and systems
  • Assist in developing long-term targets in alignment with business objectives through data analysis
  • Support BREEAM-In-Use certifications across all sites
  • Monitor and communicate changes in ESG standards, regulations, and their impact on reporting (GRI/TCFD)
  • Assist the GRC Team with projects aimed at achieving sustainability commitments and improving behavioural outcomes among colleagues

Requirements:

  • Excel modelling and PowerBI experience
  • Ideally, you will cover a range of these:
    • Strong understanding of carbon accounting
    • Familiarity with Greenhouse Gas Protocol and Scopes 1, 2, and 3 reporting
    • Knowledge of ESG systems such as Sphera and Centrica
    • Experience with sustainability standards such as BREEAM, GRESB, and CRREM
    • Expertise in process automation, data model creation, and reporting
