You are a mission driven Environmental and Sustainability expert and writer with the ambition to grow and make a difference. You have a proven track record in bids and tendering for environmental and sustainable input on world class projects.

Role: Environment and Sustainability Advisor for Bids & Tenders

Duration: Fixed term period of 12 months with a view to become permanent

Location: UK flex working

Salary: £40K+ £55K + up to 20% bonus + attractive benefits

Additional benefits: pensions scheme up to 10%, company shares, incentive on annual leave (26 days holiday incensed with service), opportunity to attend learning program development.

About you:

You are highly analytical with a solutions-focused approach and proactive approach. Other personal traits you have include strong commercial acumen and an ability to see the bigger picture, as well as focus on the details.

Passion for driving innovation and excellence are important. Ideally, you will have a good technical understanding of rail infrastructure and network control systems knowledge would be advantageous. Organisational skills are a must because you'll be managing multiple projects. You'll also need strong communication skills because you'll be dealing with a different stakeholder across the board.

As well as a relevant degree, you have diploma in environmental, social or sustainability field with Membership of a relevant professional organisation (eg: IEMA, CIWEM, IES, Social Value UK).

Your skills include:

  • Detailed knowledge and proven experience in environment and/or social sustainability
  • Detailed knowledge of one or more specific environment or social topics
  • Ability to prepare high quality written documentation
  • Ability to effectively engage with both office and site based personnel
  • Willingness to learn and apply knowledge on less familiar environment and social topics
  • Experience within the construction and/or rail industry preferable but not essential
