Drive Energy Strategy Across EMEA with a Global Leader

Are you an experienced Energy Procurement professional ready to influence regional strategy and deliver measurable impact? We are looking for a Global Category Manager - Energy to join a highly motivated and collaborative team. You'll ideally be based in Vienna, or in Germany with the willingness to travel on ahybrid basis into the Viena site. This is a key strategic role within a multinational environment.


About the Role

As Global Category Manager, you will lead Energy Category Management, driving procurement excellence, cost optimisation, and strategic alignment with corporate energy objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all physical energy supply contracts across the region

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle: requirements definition, RFQ, negotiation, and approvals

  • Negotiate complex energy CAPEX projects

  • Drive local, regional, and global energy cost optimisation initiatives

  • Support centrally managed energy efficiency projects and carbon-out initiatives

  • Act as key account partner to internal stakeholders

  • Manage claims and contract-related issues

  • Provide reporting and input into the central Energy Management System

  • Support energy tax relief workflows across regional sites

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Energy Team to implement strategic initiatives


About You

  • Proven experience in Category Management or Energy Procurement

  • Strong background in negotiating complex energy contracts and CAPEX projects

  • Full professional proficiency in German and English (mandatory)

  • Experience in a multinational environment

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability

  • Collaborative, grounded, and confident engaging at all organisational levels

  • High energy, commitment, and willingness to travel

  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines
