Role: Energy & Sustainability Manager

Location: St Albans - only 2-3 days a week in the office pw, with some travel to sites

Salary: Up to £55k + 15% bonus

You'll be reporting directly to the Head of Property Procurement to lead the development, implementation and execution of utilities sourcing, procurement, reporting and energy strategy activity across the entire organisation. You'll work closely with the leaders across all functions to drive and develop strategies that ensure optimal commercial value whilst driving service, sustainability, innovation and leadership. This is a key role and will be critical in developing future plans in energy consumption, MI reporting, compliance, procurement, sustainability, carbon reduction and team engagement initiatives.

You'll manage key supplier relationships with energy providers, key systems providers, meter suppliers, carbon accreditation agencies and other suppliers who provide services to the Energy and Sustainability function. You'll also provide timely procurement support on hedging strategy and trading decisions for key commodities.

You'll support the various teams and sites to identify key areas and opportunities for energy and sustainability projects, including supporting new opportunities for technology/trials/initiatives for the group

Essential:

• Take out deep - salary not enough! Background in Procurement of Energy and Utilities
• Some knowledge in risk management, hedging, flex contracts etc
• Well developed negotiation skills
• Statistical and Data management skills
• Interpersonal and presentation skills
• Project Management Experience
• Budget Preparation
• Strong stakeholder management experience with an ability to engage and influence

Desirable:

• SECR/CRC Experience
• EMA Qualified
• ESOS Assessor Qualified
• Sustainability Experience
