Introduction
Our client, a leading global institution that remains lean and agile, is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Procurement function, playing a critical role in driving data-led decision-making and accelerating the adoption of advanced analytics, AI tooling, and modern procurement technologies.
This is a high impact role sitting at the intersection of data, commercial strategy, and digital transformation, offering strong visibility across senior procurement, finance, and technology leadership. The successful candidate will help shape how procurement leverages data, automation, and AI to unlock value, manage risk, and improve decision quality at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve procurement data across systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong controls
- Using your coding skills, build and deliver analytics, dashboards, and reporting to provide clear visibility of spend and supplier performance - knowledge of SQL, Python, Advanced Excel etc
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and optimisation opportunities
- Design and deploy AI driven solutions, automated workflowsand emerging procurement technologies to improve efficiency and decision making
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Legal stakeholders to align data, policies, and reporting
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on simplification, automation, and scalable ways of working
- Act as a key point of contact on data, reporting, and system-related procurement topics
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Masters in a relevant field such as business, operations, data analytics, finance, Engineering or supply chain
- 3 to 7 years of experience in analytics, operations, consulting, or a related role, ideally within a data-rich environment - SQL, Python, Advanced Excel etc desirable
- Desirable (not essential) - exposure to procurement, supply chain, or a commercial function - if not, this can be taught
- Strong interest in AI, machine learning, automation, and emerging analytics technologies, with hands on experience a strong advantage
- Ability to communicate & visualise complex data and AI driven insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
